HOW TO USE THE FORMED COURSE
Each course of FORMED has a free downloadable guide containing three weeks of study. This guide isn’t just a journal or a place to take notes, it’s a tool for spiritual formation. It’s designed to help you slow down, go deep, and respond to what God is doing in your life.
Each week follows a simple rhythm that’s meant to shape more than your thinking, it’s meant to shape your living.
The Weekly Rhythm
1. Learn (In Community)
Each week begins with a short video teaching. This is your moment to listen, take notes, and open your heart to what God is saying. The goal isn’t just to gain information, it’s to respond with transformation. Let this teaching guide your week and invite conversation.
2. Discuss (In Community)
Before you go live it, talk it out. Growth accelerates when we process truth together. These group discussion questions are designed to help you engage with others, explore the tension points, and learn from different perspectives. Don’t rush past this. Discipleship deepens in conversation.
3. Implement (On Your Own)
Spiritual maturity isn’t formed in theory, it’s forged in practice. Each week includes one intentional exercise to help you walk out the habit in your everyday life. These aren’t spiritual checklists; they’re invitations to become more like Jesus.
4. Reflect (On Your Own)
Slow down, look inward, and listen for what God is forming in you. These questions help you pay attention to what’s shifting, your mindset, your patterns, your posture. This is where the Holy Spirit personalizes the process. Be real. Be specific. Be expectant.
This rhythm—Learn, Discuss, Implement, Reflect—is how formation moves from the head to the heart to the hands. It’s simple, but powerful.
Let God use this habit to form something deep in you. He’s not in a hurry. He’s after your heart.
